My 2015 2500 gasser has the base radio, no bluetooth, no greentooth, no nothing. I just made the leap from a dumb phone to a S9 smart phone. Not sure I did the right thing, but that's another subject. I assumed, perhaps mistakenly, that I could play Pandora via USB on the truck radio, but am having no luck. First it didn't see the phone, then after fiddling with some phone settings, it would see it but said "unsupported device", or something similar. I don't have an Aux/Aux cable to try, but that is my next move. Has anybody successfully used USB with the base radio???

I'm sure your 15 is different than my 06, but I just bought a cheap aux cable and called it done.

Aux input in center console is the only way to play music through your phone.
If I didn't buy a lifetime subscription to Sirius eons ago that would be the route I'd be taking too .

I just bought a Kenwood head unit from Crutchfield for a little over $100, including the dash & harness(es) kits- it not only has an AUX jack but also a USB plug into which I can put a thumb drive with all my tunes on it. The sound is great!

There are these little do dads that plug into the Aux Port and then allow your phone to Bluetooth the music through the truck stereo. The "Himbox" (I didn't pick the damn name...) works very well. I have one in Hoopty that will make it's way into Hoopty Deux when I get 10 quiet minutes....
I like this one because it grabs 12V from a power socket, Seth has a different brand which has to be recharged.
If I am visualizing the console in your truck correctly there would be a power socket there so you could stuff the whole works in there out of sight and do away with dangly cords...?

Hm...... Strange your 15 doesnt have bluetooth. But if you did, you should be able to select BT as an alternative to am or fm. Then you can play music thru your phone to the radio via bluetooth. No cable needed. I do it all the time.
