135,000 miles and six years and still on the factory batteries. Wondering how long they last. I am planing trip this summer to Alaska and think I should change before I go, but hate to get rid of good ones.
I'm at about the same milage on my 01. I just changed my batteries a few months ago. I went with Les Schwab 84mnth for replacements. I didnt really notice any difference but I think at six years any battery should be somewhat suspect.
I agree. I've found that batterys usually last 5-7years. Load testing them is really the only way to tell what condition they are in unless you see problems with them visually (corrosion, leaks, swelling).
Knock on wood, mine OEM batteries are still in good shape. I use the block heater whenever possible to avoid the heater grid cycling before startup. Not sure if this helps or not.
