Ok, I've read the posts about the stock batteries needing to have the water level checked even though they are supposed to be 'Maintenance Free'. So now I need to know how to get the caps off.
I went out yesterday to check the water since the truck seems to be cranking a little slower than last year, but I can't get the caps off. Don't get me wrong, I have mangled them pretty well, but they just don't want to turn loose from the battery. It seems like they are hooked or glued to the top of the battery because as I was trying to get them off it looked like the top of the battery was trying to come with them.
Anybody got any advice on getting these off without messing up the battery in the process?
Thanks,
Mike
