My battery goes dead on my 1990 Dodge when it sits for three or more days. I have tried putting new ends on the positive and negative battery cables with no luck. Any ideas how to trace the power leak?

Connect a DVOM or a test lamp onto the batter post and the negative batter cable that you have removed from the battery. Then, begin eliminating power to one circuit at a time.

The spec for voltage is like . 5 volts but I'd look for . 3 to be the optimum.

Easy as pie. Just requires patience. Happy hunting.

Battery draw or maybe a bad battery. Disconnect the battery during those three days and if it is dead when you again try to fire up, throw the battery away. Otherwise you will have to do as Steve says and trace it till you find the fault.
