Has anyone found an aftermarket battery hold down for the 96 Ram? Dodge wants $15 each for the bolts and $13 for the hold down. The local parts stores only stock the generic hold down with the studs with the hook on one end . They could probably be osed on the side of the tray away from the fender by removing the threaded clip , but I dont think they would work on the side of the tray next to the fender.

Thanks lmccart

Your getting stroked! I replaced all of mine for under $30 from dodgeparts.com ( i think). They are a regular dealer in Seattle are also have this site. I wish I had gotten the fiberglass holddowns but I didn't know about them then.

Hi Thanks for the replys. Geno's has some nice custom aluminum hold downs , But they are pricy, they do not come with the bolts. I could not find the dodge parts . com site. I called The local dealer again to see if the $15 was for a pair of bolts, he said they were $15 each. I'l keep looking

As a backup, a short length of all-thread with nut welded to the top end works pretty well, for me at least... Bruce
