I did a search but couldn't find this question. When disconnecting the battery terminals to clean or for whatever reason, , when reconnecting ,will I lose any computer memory ? My 1999 Merc. sable, if the battery is disconnected, the computer has to relearn certain functions. Just wondering if the same was true with the 01 Dodge? This T. D. R. site is the best thing that happened since I bought my truck !! Thank's to you guy's I dont have to visit my dealer.

Al to answer your question, KINDA!

the OBD-II system will reset with by disconecting the negative battery cable for about 20 seconds. sometimes it can take as long as 300 seconds.

you are planning to disconnect the battery which will reset the system. But, you should not notice the effects of the reset. i didnt look to see if you have an auto or not. it would be affected by the shift points needing to be learned again.

but again, I dont think you will feel it. :D

I noticed you live in Valpariso, we dropped off a mare to be breed there last year. we breed her to" All hands on Zip" but i cant remember the name of the owners.

it was a friends wifes' horse, she got bred. damn nice little Colt, unfortunately he got casted in his stall and broke his front leg. they had to put him down, before he was a yearling. $3500 colt lost to a poorly kept stall.
