Has anyone figured out how to override the battery saver feature that turns off the parking lights (and other lights) after 10 minutes? I frequently park where I want the parking lights to stay on and find it extremly annoying to have to cycle the headlight switch every 10 minutes to keep them on. The only other option I have found is to leave the ignition switch on with the engine not running.

Mine don't even stay on that long. I haven't timed it but I would be willing to bet mine stay on for maybe one or two mins. tops.

I think since it's all controlled by the computer, you'd either have to rewire the lights with a conventional switch, or trick the computer into thinking the key is on.

Another option, if you don't want to have to leave the keys in the truck, is to use the key fob to reactivate the lights. Each time the lights go off, just hit the lock or unlock button and it resets the timer.

Still a bit of a pain, but less so than having to manually cycle the headlight switch.

I tried the key in accessory poisition and that works. I am not thrilled about leaving the key in the truck so I may try the unlock/lock the doors routine with the key fob.

Thanks for the ideas.

I'll just chime in here (in case anyone from Dodge is listening) that I also hate the battery saver function. I've timed mine, and it's 5 minutes before they go off. I don't want to leave my keys in the ignition, either, and in almost 4 years I still haven't come up with a convenient solution.
