Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Battery Temperature Sensor part number for 96?

I've got my battery tray out, working on another issue, and I see my Battery Temperature Sensor wires are badly corroded and likely shorting against each other. I don't have a charging problem, and I'd like to replace the sensor before it causes a problem. But all the online catalogs I've looked at, including the OEM ones, don't list one for a 96. Mine looks just like the one they show for a 97.

Does anyone have the number, or a better site to look at? Last 8 of the VIN are TJ115355

For your 97? Everybody has them for 97-02 but they don't list them for 96. Mine looks just like yours, so I could just get a 97 part, but there must be a reason _nobody_ lists 94-96.

The only difference I can think of would be the connector. At room temp (75-80f) the resistance should be 9k-11k ohms for a '96. The '97 spec is the same.

Thanks GAmes! I recently replaced the sensor with the one listed for 97+ and it seemed to work fine. I didn't actually check the resistance...
