Has anyone out there ever used the two bank Battery Tender that can charge and maintain two batteries at once? I am thinking about buying one of these units from Summit Racing but was looking for anyone who has used them on their truck. I don't drive mine but maybe once a month in the winter months and the last time I did, she cranked really slow. I am wondering about if I need to disconnect the batteries to use this tool or can I leave everything as it is under the hood.

I use the regular Battery Tender Plus and it has worked well for at least 5 years. I put it on the pass. side battery and with the dual batteries it just see's it as one large battery. I do not disconnect anything and connect the red clip to the battery and the black to a bolt on the turbo flange.

I have the original Battery Tender thathas to be better than 15 yers old. I have connections on both mine and my wife truck that are homemade where I can connect or cap the end to keep the corrosion off. Never had a problem. As DavidC said, connect to the passenger side and get the single unit, then your covered for years.

I used one battery tender to charge both batteries. If I remember correctly I connected one lead to each battery. I mounted it permanently under the hood. I got one of their water proof models. I plug it in whenever I plug in my block heater. If you call them a call, they'll give you more information than you'll need. Six years now-no problems.
