well the great design of mopar battery tie down bolts they are 12. 00 a pop Ive replaced 2 before need more. had to replace the recieving clip on the bottom where to bolt goes. 3. 50. mopar(more for parts$). just wondering if someone else has come up with a better way to secure the battery with out bolts.

1. cheap and effective

2. without alot of work. (lazy)

I thought of straps and have not been able to find a strap that would work yet. and I dont want to look well. ya know with bungie cords. :-laf.

This Is A Little Work But Works Well. I Ran A 1/4-20 Tap Throught The Bottom Clip On My 94 Then Cut A Lenght Of All Thread And Just Welded A Nut On The Allthread For A Head Instant $12 Bolt Very Cheap.

When I bought my '01, the entire setup was corroded on both batteries, so I ditched them, the trays and the tie-downs and bought all brand new Mopar parts, batteries included. I sprayed some of that AutoZone red preservative stuff on the posts and never had another problem.

no bolts

I can make my own bolts I guess but im trying to come up with a way without any bolts. I too used spray and protectant but I bought a bad battery within a couple months it was leaking and I didnt catch it and it still destroyed the bolts.
