Thanks BIG BOB, I was wondering how it could possibly stop the barking on WOT auto shifts. I read all the documentation on settings and what they do. They would not do anything for me on a 1/4 mile run. I only know one way to the end of the track and that does not include relaxing any throttle sensor pressure voltage. I have learned to drive my age and most of the barking is gone in normal driving. I dont care if it barks at the track as long as boost is back up by the time I look at the gauge. Been told if it nukes they will replace it, hope so. I think the only thing that is going to nuke is the boost gauge. It does some serious bouncing when the turbo does a double or triple bark at about 40psi. I wonder if twins would solve the barking problem???

Unfortunately, the BOV only helps when you let off the throttle very quickly. For those of us that have Auto's, the up shift from 3rd to OD under WOT will still get the momentary turbo bark. :(

Well, you could hook it up to sense the 3rd to 4th shift, and have it activate then.

But then again, when the automatic shifts, you are not lifting the throttle like you do with a manual, so the bark isn't as bad since the exhaust isn't being shut off as much. When I shift the 6 speed, the change in throttle opening is much more severe than an auto, thus the possibllity of bark greater.

Just for some clarification.

When an Auto shifts from 3 gear to OD the reduction in rpm caused by the shift causes the turbo to bark. Yes, normally not as bad as a stick, however you have to remember that you have WOT with full boost and a immediated drop of 500+ rpm is causing back pressure to the turbo almost like letting up on the throttle. Then if you have a lockup switch and it is on, the bark is even more severe. Now you have to remember, I am a person talking about having a modified transmission. I'm sure the bark would not be anywhere near as severe with a stock transmission as my DTT. Not saying the DTT is harsh, because it isn't, it is just positive and firm.
