ok,

so we are on our big summer vacation and I need some TDR help!! Keep melting my vacuum hose from the bottom of the BD up to the actuator. Routed it differently the second time but still too close. Long grades in the rockies are keeping the EGT's up 1150-1200 although I have now turned the Edge off and found that keep the EGT's down and the truck temps happier.

Is there some magic hose wrap, route, or shield that will keep my 1/4 inch plastic vacuum hose happy?? Last one that I melted was tie wrapped to the transmission dipstick trying to keep away from the turbo/manifold... . Other that that the truck is doing great.

Think I cracked my windshield washer resevoir on one of the climbs today (altitude change), can I fix this or does it have to be replaced??

Thanks guys...

If your towing in mnts than that dipstick is getting hot also .
You may need to put some sort of clamps that hold the hose in clear air [ cooling ] also check what kind of hose your using , heat resistance , not refrige water hose , automotive source .
Also maybe run through wiring loom [ plastic cover ] & rap with aluminum foil .

just my two cents i have mine strapped to the frame rail and up and around the turbo is yours an inline brake or turbo mount ?
