Competition BD has great night at the track

Well we had a great night at the track. After a couple of disappointing runs on diesel (bad defueling problem at 1-2 shift) with a flick of the NOS buttom 12. 54@108. 79mph. This was with only 600psi in the bottle as well. Truck is an 02 quad cab 4x4 on street tires. I think with a full bottle of nitrous and a bigger secondary jet 11s are only a matter of weeks away. Slicks would also be a big help. All this in a truck that weighed 6750lbs with the driver. This was the first night out with this combination, so it is only going to get quicker and faster.

How did you come up with that?



I have it figured to be 675 to 680hp @ 6750lbs for those numbers.





I'm curious what the rest of the slip looks like.

Ok, that explains it. Its just easier to talk rearwheel numbers, because flywheel and the drivetrain loss will vary on each truck. I see you used the "general" 20% rule in your figures.

bob that was his silver truck. it's not my place to tell you what he has done with his truck, but it runs pretty good. vegas will be fun i'm going to beat up on him. if we get to race in vegas we might see some trucks make one 11 sec pass. before we get yelled at for going to fast.



maybe we can make some power here in the west?

I will post the all the numbers from the slip this week. He is running a HX40 with an 18cm housing. On just diesel it was a dog out of the hole. Add a little fog and away we go. The NOS shaved 1 second off the 330ft times. :--) Christian was very happy. Now it is just a matter of dialing it in. .

We were advised about an NHRA rule that says that the centre point of the crankshaft cant be higher than 24inches unless it is an OEM truck. Then you are allowed 36 inches. Now the tech guy is looking into the OEM ruleing on the trucks. He seems to think that he has heard before that because we have modified the truck is doesnt fit OEM guidelines. That means a stock 4x4 is too high to race

He is going to clarify and let me know. Everyone sure was suprised to see 12s on the scoreboard.

i try to have a couple of things up my sleeve. unless he gets twins he's going to be eating my smoke. christains truck does run good. but with his 4. 10's he's going to need some bigger tires.



once he get's the truck dialed in, i better watch out. :--) i was going to race today but it was snowing. so i'll have to wait for vegas.

yes they are consistant gains. consistantly low j/k. i will be surprised if lawerence will even run his truck in full power mode at the track. it's one thing to do it on the dyno but on the track is a different story. if they are bringing marks truck out i'm not worried, even though they now have n20 on it from what i hear. it will always be in good fun. if i get my butt kicked, i'm a good loser i think?

as far as ats goes we will have to wait and see.



i just hope we can get some of these vendors to pull the sled with us. i know bd and probably bill will pull. but i think diesel dynamics will be on the porch for the sled pulls.

i hope ats will also join in the fun.
