Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) bd manifold

I just got a new BD exhaust manifold. I thought they came per drilled for an EGT probe where should I drill it for the probe?

I thought all 3 piece manifolds came drilled and tapped. I would return it if you can. Mine was drilled on the top, just before the turbo.

If you drill and tap it yourself, which is no big deal, tap the rear runner, not the center of the manifold.

I installed one on my truck four days ago. It came with two tappings for the thermocouple just before the turbo.

Mine has those tapped holes also. But my probe looks to large to fit those holes.

The holes are 1/8" pipe thread. I am using a Westach Type K probe. It measures 2. 5" x 3/16"
