I got to thinking about the previous post, (Dodge one up'd us again) about the ECM picking up traces of the Edge EZ and I was wondering if it's because it's plugged into the data link? Will the ECM pick up traces of the BD because it is plugged in further down stream directly into the injection pump? Just a thought. BTW I got the BD.

Common missconseption

The "data link" is where the Cummins Tech plugs in his laptop... the Injector pump plug and the Data link share the same harnace, it is called a CAN Bus. Electricaly there is no difference between the two. Basicly they are two different nodes on the same network... . that is why the Data Link connector has a terminator plug

If the ECM is detecting the EZ box then it will also detect the VA.

Please someone jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding the the DRB tool, or whatever the tech is using, does not see a "box", but sees a history of abnormalities in the fuel, boost, and timming curves stored in the ECM.

The only way these can occur, other than a really screwed up ECM is the parameters have been modified by the "box", THAT'S what gets us busted.

you've won the golden goose...

Shovelhead,

You hit the nail on the head. From what I have read, Dodge hooks up and sees some things that can't be done fueling wise from a stock truck on the fuel, and air, and timing side of thisgs.
