BD Plug N Power vs EDGE EZ

Looking to add a little HP and Torque when towing 26' TT with my '00 2500 Auto 3. 54. Went to local shop to ask about Edge EZ I've seen advertised. They didn't have one but had a BD PNP. Said BD owns EDGE now and PNP is actually a little better. Plugged one in for a test drive and was impressed with added umph. I did feel a little shudder when mashing pedal to change lanes. Technician seems to feel Torque Converter is going out. Any ideas, suggestions or comments? Also, any feedback on Amsol Synthetic vs Rotella T?

Havind had an EZ, I would suggest that box. It was a great box while I had it in.

BTW, got a COMP for more power.

If the shop is a good one they will let you try both and sell you the one you like the best. Lots of the vendors that are favored on here will send you both and let you try them, then send back the one you don't like. Give the vendor a call, let them know what you are wanting to do, it is that simple. Personally I prefer the VA over the EZ when you add a boost module to the VA. I have not driven one of the new VA's with a built in boost module though. Hope this helps.

BD does not own Edge. To quote from and email I recieved from Brian Roth (the email was an inquiry to the differences between edge boxs and the ones BD were selling) "We (BD) are working with Edge Products as Partners in Preformance".



With that said I have an EZ and a regular Power Edge box and love them both. BD has had VA make some changes in the PNP and they have several different setups now for the PNP. They can also do custom programing for the PNP.



Like the guys above have said have the dealer let you try both and buy the one you like. I would bet you would be happy with either one. . its all personal preference.
