Just wanted to know what you guys are getting with the VA box and the ps boost module with the turnbuckle. Looking for comparison #'s on the boost guage. Thanks
I am seeing 21 lbs max boost WOT. Could the low #'s be because the small HY35? I checked all fitting and hose clamps and I have no leaks. Turnbuckle is tight too.
Greg, I have the ETH engine but with the VA PS boost fooler and elbow I see 34lbs of boost pulling my trailer. At only 21lbs of boost something is not right you should see that when stock. I would check your turnbuckel to see if it is adjusted right also check that your boost fooler is working.
Here is the deal guys: if you do not have EGT trouble don't worry about the boost number!!!!!!!! There is no point in 30 PSI with just an EZ, in fact it is counter-productive. It will make more power and less EGT with 25 or 26 PSI than 32. You can run a VA or EZ and DD1's with a max of 25 PSI and not have EGT trouble or loss of ANY power. There IS such a thing as too much boost for the fuel you have. Big boost numbers are macho and cool and all of that for sure, but when it is counter-productive get rid of the extra boost.
The bottom line is this, LET YOUR EGT DICTATE THE BOOST NEEDED TO KEEP IT IN CHECK. If your EGT is OK so is your boost.
