I had to call them to make sure I was looking in right location for my vacuum pump for my exhaust brake. I got tech support and the guys said its on the front of the engine. Have a good day. I was like wait, I still dont see it. He says, it is up by all the belts and stuff. I still didnt see it. After that went on and he was no help, I said I had one more question. He acted like he was in a hurry to get off the phone BTW. I said in my install destructions, One page had some stuff missing from not getting printed well. I took him to the page told him what paragraph and all and he was too stupid to read me the line. I told him what I had and needed and read everyother paragraph kinda. I said that still isnt it, he said thats all I got right after he started the first line of the one I needed. It really pI$$ed me off and I am a easy going guy to get along with. Then I said GDit you dont &^$@$^*& listen. Then hung up. I called piers where I got the brake (didnt want to disturb him when my problem arose as it seems like hes probably on the phone alot) and he said exactly where I need to tie into... . said right in front of power steering resivor. I found it asap. The I asked about the wiring that wasnt printed and he answered it right away and correct. I have to say Piers is truly #1 in any questions. Sorry so long but had to vent, maybe others havent had this exp with BD but on this I did. Way to go Piers.

BD needs to monitor their tech support people. I called about my e brake also and was told it wouldnt work without the 60lb springs and would damage the engine and the instructions clearly state that isnt so(wasnt what I called about anyway). The brake had been on my other truck for a while and no damage. guy was a little snotty too.

It's been a while back, but I talked to two techs and an engineer at BD regarding an incompatibility between GV overdrive and the pressure lock from BD. I got brushed off. Not their problem, they can't check compatibility with everything.

I found the problem and offered them a solution, but they were absolutely not interested.

I also purchased what I now think is the Blue Box enhancement from them. When I talked to a salesman, he absolutely assured me that it was their own design.

These attitudes have somewhat soured me on BD products.

Jschooley... you are correct. It is the Blue Box, if it looks like the one on the Blue Chip website. I bought it from them, also. Almost every dyno days I have gone to up there, Blue Chip has sent reps there.

I have purchased some items from BD, and have found them to be quality stuff. Piers and Brian Roth have been very good to deal with... a few others NOT.
