I've noticed quite a few people lately have been mentioning this Racer's anti-defuelling chip(or whatever it is) from BD. What exactly does this do? Does it help all newer 24v's, or only those at insane power levels? If anyone has run one on a truck with similar bombs as mine, how much difference did it make in the 1/4mile?

Thanks much,

Chris

It's mostly for 01 and 02 auto trucks. There is a defueling issue on losts of these trucks, that the box fixes. This is not noticable usally unless your at the track. :)

Chris,

Unless your truck is defueling when you launch it, the box won't do anything for you. I may be wrong, but I think it is mainly the 2001. 5's, that are at the higher HP levels, which experience the defueling problem. Basically the computer thinks your RPM's are going up faster than they are supposed to so the ECM cuts fuel, thus the truck will nose over. Some trucks can go through this cycle several times while going down the 1/4. This box stops the defueling, and removes the top speed limiter also. The box works great, if your having these problems though. Very simple to install too.

Thanks

So do you think I would benefit from this device? I do notice that the power feels like it kinda falls off at high rpm, then picks up again as soon as the trans hits the next gear. I always thought that with a drag comp this wouldn't be as noticeable. Now i'm wondering if it's just the normal powerband that i'm feeling or if i'm getting some defueling.

So is it noticeable when the trucks defuel? What are the symptoms of this? If it's something drastic, then i don't think i have that problem. If it's a suttle(but noticeable) loss of power at high rpm, especially in 1st and 2nd then i might.

Thanks again for the help.

Chris
