BD race anti defueler,confusing air conditioner

I just put a BD race anti defueler in my 03 dodge,is it normal that whenever I flip the toggle switch on,it kicks off my AC compreesor,they told me at BD that a few things wouldnt work,when you flipped it on,but didnt say anything about my AC not working, :-{} I am needing some advice from you guys?
