If you have a 2000 and up Auto truck it makes a big difference on launch and 2nd and 3rd gear shifts. Plus if your really crazy the top speed eliminator feature is nice too! I like mine but I only use it to embarrass someone REAL bad at a stoplight. When the switch is on the tach doesnt work and it sets a check engine light. The light will go off a couple starts later. I believe the top speed eliminator feature works whether the switch is on or off.

A RAD box will help more than you know. Get in touch with Olee at powerbypoole.com and he'll steer you in the right direction.

I agree with everything here.

I usually pull trailers with this truck but it never hurts to flip the switch and burn a duramax or a powerstroke!! Oo.

I have read that the RAD will only benefit LATE 2000 and up trucks, is this true? and that 98 to early 2000 trucks do not have the factory defuel, if so how do I know if it will help my truck or not, I have a 2000, with a build date of 9-99.

The BD RAD box is great for drag racing with AUTO trucks. It's to keep your truck from defueling at boost lauch and remove speed limiter also. With my truck i could boost lauch with 10lbs. just fine But with 15lbs. or more it would defuel in 1st gear killing 60ft times.
