bd short shift leak

Hey guys Thanks for your help. I got home after 1700mi & 2 1/2

qts of trans oil. Disassembled console, took boot off. and to my astonishment found that ALL 4 BOLTS were all backed out all the way. Shift tower was just kind of sitting there. Cleaned everything with brake cleaner reassembled and put lock tite on all4 bolts. I'ts a wonder I didn't grenade trans as half trip I pulled trlr. I am positive those bolts were tite when I put kit in about month ago!!!

Has the short shifter worked that much better than the stock?

Have the bolts slipped again?

I am thinking of going that route and can't make up my mind.



What about warranty issues... have you heard concerning that or is there a forum thread on this item?

i had the same problem. cept i lost 4 quarts by the time i limped home to fix it. i just put in lock washers. will be getting some lock-tite on the way home from work and redoing it.



as for the bd shifter... . i really liked it but removed mine anyway. i am selling it in the classifieds. i decided that i wanted an exhaust brake more than a shifter right now...
