As I stated in the PM, you can definitely hear the BOV, with the SPS66 and 50lbs of boost built it is pretty loud. Turns heads for sure.

I don't think it is worth it on a stock truck, at least not unless you are barking the turbo a lot. After my TC/Trans and other mods the turbo barked all the time. The BD BOV has eliminated 99% of the barking on the street. I turn it off on the track.

Don't the BOV's only work when you are at max boost? and then when it does it blows out ALL of the boost psi? which means your boost is back to 0psi. then you have to biuld all the boost back up and I hear that they are very hard to get dialed in. Even with my mods I have yet to hear my turbo's bark even at 50 psi of boost built up and letting right off the throttle they still do not do it.

Perhaps I am wrong or just misinformed, but I hear they are not worth it.

they should only actuate when you get off the throttle or push in the clutch if you are using microswitches to actuate the spool valve/solenoid valve to bleed off the pressure from the top side of the valve.

if you are using the fancier one with the box that somehow reads your throttle position, it will actuate when it sees' a set amount of throttle release is a set amount of time [eg: back off throttle from 60% to 30% in 0. 1 sec or however it is set]

if you got a slushbox, i don't think it will do squat for you if you are barking between shifts as there is no signal for the valve to actuate. coming off throttle it should work ok though.

i don't have one, but i do have parts to put one together for my truck if i ever get around to welding a bung in my cooler discharge pipe [not gonna try it with my pos fluxcore mig. need a tig or better mig]

I boost 41 one pounds with stock turbo and i can make it bark all day.

Diesel has zero vacuum so you have to use a tps actuated bov. The BD($650) is made for our trucks, is fairly complicated to tune in yet it is still not complicated enough to work 100% properly. Good luk making one.

yep. . 2 micro switches and a hobbs switch and i can get it working. one switch for the throttle off, and one for clutch [so when i clutch or let off the throttle it will actuate] and the hobbs switch to control at what pressures the system will be active [works above say 20psi, and non functional below that]

could also use a box like this to use tps instead of the microswitch on the throttle side
