WHat is the good, bad and the ugly on the BD X-Monitor digital gauge. I dont know a thing about them. I am going to get some gauges for the truck but I would like digital. Are they as accurate and as good as a mechanical gauge. Thank you in advance.

I love it. My buddy had it installed on his 2001, and I had it installed in my 06 Laramie. My 99 had the 3 frog eyes on the dash. Bulbs would burn out... couldn't dim them... and they are gauges, kinda accurate.

My 06 has this... digital, exact, dimmable, alarms to signal when you hit a max pyro temp... that you set. Clean look on the A-pillar, I think you can also mount somewhere else too. I will never have the large and clumsy analog gauges again. Hey, it's a new century, gauges were on Henry Fords cars.

By the way, another nice thing is, at least for the 06's, is that you tap into a wire to get your transmission temp. One less thing to cut, tap, leak, etc.

I guess by now you know I am sold on it!

Do you have the BD X-monitor. If so you can set Max amounts? I did not know that. I had an Edge juice with attitude and i loved the gauges on it so do you think it is like that. Thank you for your response.

I have had one on my '03 for a couple of years, now. Works great. Like the idea that you still retain your grab handle. The guage mounts just under the handle.

I made a 'hood', out of a plastic box & it mounts just over the guage panel. Keeps the sunlight from the side, from reflecting on the glass.

I'd buy it again. I got the one that just does boost & pyrometer.

I have it on my 05 and I would buy it again-hands down. Set your temps and the display will flash to warn you. Another plus, with 1 glance you can read all 3 temps at once!
