A friend sent an email with photos of a bear which was electrocuted when he dug up an electrical box. Any one know if this is for real?

More photos of the bear. Even a photo where the bear's paw grounded out on the soil. It looks real enough but I'm always a bit skeptical someone stages these types of things

My parents had a bear on their property that would dig up the water line from the spring to the house every so often. After about the fourth time my dad quite burying the pipe and left it on top of the ground, and the bear left it alone from then on. She still likes to take the lid off the water storage tank from time to time though.

Bears are curious animals, and they are powerful enuff, and smart enuff that they can pretty much check out what ever they want.

Could it be that the bear heard the water moving through the pipe and thought it was rodents in underground tunnels? Maybe it thought it was digging up mice for a snack??? I know my dog hears moles underground and tries to dig or pounce on them to get to them.

The one with the bear is for real, it went around a few years ago as I remember as a DuPont safety reminder slide presentation.

I have a real good one of a guy that broke into a substation to rip off some wire but I can't get it to upload. It's in a powerpoint format, (. pps) and I don't know how to get it to load here. If anyone can tell me how to I will load it. It's pretty graphic.

On my resume I listed knowledge of 110VAC, 240VAC and 480VAC 3 phase. I was asked during an interview what I knew about 480. My response was don't touch it. Sometimes I hate working so close to it.
