mastercard moment.

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a good beard trimmer. Not interested in the actual razor, but just a beard and mustache trimmer.

What brands and models should I look for?

:)

Andrew

I trim up my beard with a Wahl hair trimmer kit purchased from Costco. It does okay but I'm not posing for GQ magazine. It has been cutting hair and trimming beards for 5 years without problems.

Wahl makes a Beard Trimmer as well.

I got me a Norelco... it has a handy dandy adjustable ride height (not pneumatic... . )..... it's rechargeable... . and it has been working fine for over a year.

$40 (give or take an ounce) at Wally World... .

Don't waste your time looking at a Conair. I have a tough beard at it is absolutely gutless. I just use the trimmer on my Norelco razor. Also the batteries make poor contact and you usually have to shake or jiggle it so it will run.

TDK, get a propane torch man. Quit hosing around with all this girly trimmer crap and BURN IT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD LORD MAN!!!

Of course that means that MAtt is a girly man! :D

Got Bush?

TDK, you goin' rugged look are ya?

I don't think the brand is so important. Get a 115v (high performance) device with as many different slip on shoes as possible. The slip on shoes gauge the length of the cut the electric trimmer makes. IOW, how much beard is left on yur face versus the floor.

Using this type of device to trim the catepillar on yur upper lip is awkward. Stuff gits in yur way, like yur beak.

BTW, you got insurance? :D

Heck. . just do as I do. . go to the barber and get a #1 cut top and bottom [for you nasty guys. . chin=bottom]

when your beard needs a trim so does the head. . a good gauge lol

FWIW: The Norelco I have has one big shoe... . but it's height adjustable... (and even has numbers - so you can remember your favorite lengths... ) just like a mower deck.
