Those of you with the high style and roofline height style bed caps: I'm wondering how it affected your fuel economy. I'm wanting to buy an A. R. E. but am concerned about mileage.

Anyone know of a good dealer in Montana for the A. R. E. ?

I've got a roofline height cap, but I can't tell you if it affected mpg. I installed mine the day I bought the truck, from my last truck.

There is a site that shows the drag of different arrangements, on a pickup, but I can't remember if I heard about it from this forum or the Ford forum. I'll look around and see if I can find it.

I have a cab-high camper on my truck, (it was there when I bought it. ) I get about the same mileage as the other 12V/Auto/RegCabs I read about on this forum, 20-22mpg. Doesn't seem to add any mileage, but doesn't take any away either. Maybe the added weight offsets any aero effects? One thing it DEFINITELY does: it smoothes out the ride! I rode in another 2500 the other day, and mine feels cushy by comparison.
