I want to get some ABS plastic bed caps for my truck. I have experience with Bushwacker and Wade brands but I was wondering if any fellow TDR members had experience with Pro Caps. I liked the Bushwacker primarily because they were thicker and covered the inside of the rails better. The only problem was that after being on the truck for 6k, both rails developed cracks on the inside of the rail piece. I guess that I can attribute that to the fact that I had small screws on each end. The tops were held down by 3m foam tape. Thanks.

I have installed diamond tread pattern caps manufactured by Better Built and I was very impressed with the fit, finish and price. The caps fully cover the interior rail, they don't extend too far down the exterior bed walls and they are contoured to wrap the back of the rails. Nice!! All of the openings align with the stake pockets and the lengths are spot on. The tail gate is secured with 5 stainless screws while the sides are secured with 3-M tape and a single screw. Everything is secure and looking great!

Good luck!

I use Putco. They come in polished stainless and aluminum diamond plate. Cover inside rail and either screw on or 3M tape. Note on any 3m tape install. On my 93 F*** I used the tape. I added a cap, I always had dust in the bed as it would get sucked in between the rail cap and rail. I have since used the 2" foam tape between the rail cap and rail and mount with screws. Dust tite.
