I MIGHT be aquiring a 38 ft 5ver (King of the Road) with 2 slideouts. Anyway, its several states away and I was curious whether or not I will have trouble with the bed height hitting the trailer if I get it? My 3500 is a 4x4.

I've been asking the same question, for almost the same reason (different brand).

The key issue, for me, is while hitching: will the trailer make contact with the bed rails before the king pin can be latched into the hitch head?

If not, then the weight applied to the hitch will lower the bed, hopefully enough to enable proper clearance.

If so, something will have to be done to either lower the bed height or raise the trailer.

"Flipping the axles" seems to be the Universal Cure, but I'm unconvinced.

If necessary, it may be possible to pull the two short (6"?) leaves of the rear springs to lower the bed a little.

One (expensive) alternative is to have a Kelderman air ride suspension installed: "Dumping" the air would lower the bed while hitching, then re-inflating once the landing gear was raised.
