Bed liners

Hey just wondering if TDR has any disp or sellers with any line x or rhino liner in washington? And what are people paying for a long bed and rails?

I have a Viper spray in.



I had been wanting to get one since the truck was new. One day I was walking thru Costco and a local shop a kiosk in Costco and had a smoking deal on the Viper Spray in.



$325 for my long bed and its over the rails and on the stock tailgate. I even asked the tech to spray the area just under my tailgate between the bottom of the bed and bumper because I wanted to protect it and also wanted to cover up those ugly spot welds. They did an awesome job.



With a 5th wheel louvered tailgate the spots welds are more visible, but now they are hidden with the spray in.

I have a Line-X. Been a while, but I think I was originally quoted at $550 for my short bed over the rails (I ended up getting a deal cause it got huge air bubbles in it and they had to do it again). I asked about a long bed, and if I remember correctly he said it would be about 650.

LINE-X has an optional product called Xtra that resists fading and loss of gloss, is stain and scratch resistant, and is fortified with Dupont Kevlar. LINE-X offers a lifetime warranty that's valid nationwide.



Viper is not a bad product, but their dealer network is horrible. Viper will sell their chemicals to anyone, anywhere. So, their dealers tend to come and go. Viper does not offer any UV protection for the bedliner and does not have a nationwide warranty.



This Viper dealer lasted about one year. They left their chemical barrels outside!

If you're looking for a quality product, I have had Toff spray-in liners in both my '97 4x4 and my '05 4x4... both were sprayed in at Lewis Dodge, in Hays, KS. They did a phenominal job; the kid who does them is anal as hell and takes his time to do it right. The product is pliable, has good grip if you want (he can spray as much or as little grip, after the base coat is sprayed on), and lasts. Cost me $450 each time.

Me and a friend each had Line-X installed in Orlando, FL, and he did a terrific job on both. He masked around my B&W Turnover ball hitch. It looks great. My friends truck has 5th wheel rails, which the installer removed and reinstalled for no cost. All dents were removed, and both trucks looked brand new when we picked them up. Both short bed, both over the rail, about $500 ea. Very happy with it so far.

Toff as a company, has some problems, specifically with their parent company Artlux.



Toff downsized in the DFW area and layed off a bunch of people including their sales rep which I ended up hiring. The closest Toff dealer to me, about 2 miles away, was locked out by his landlord about a month ago.



We strip out a few Toff bedliners every year and install LINE-X. Toff does not offer a nationwide lifetime warranty like LINE-X.

IMO Line-X is the way to go. I've had drop-in liners, and spray-in. The spray-in offers better protection than the drop in. Of the spray-in I've been happiest with the Line-X. They're long lasting, look good, and provide a non skid surface for the bed. The last job I had done cost $550 for a long bed over the rails including the tailgate, and was done in Portland, OR. The cost included removing some pretty ugly dent in the rails. The finished product looked great.



Go to the Line-X website and pump in your zip code to find dealers in your area. The cost is flexible depending on the dealer you use. There are frequent promotions or coupons available if you watch for them.

My line X is great and has taken a beating like a rented mule for years. I paid about $325 for a short bed under the rails, but had a coupon from the Dodge dealer for it back in 2001 (salesman was buddies with the Line X guy). They stand up great and Line X will touch up or fix what ever you do to it no questions asked (but I have not had to do that as this stuff is pretty tough).



In my opinion ANY spray on liner is better than the BEST drop in or nothing at all.
