I ordered factory bed rail caps & installed them myself. I cleaned the bed rails properly, but seem to have trouble w/ the ends of the rail caps wanting to curl up. I tried some Scotch brand Automotive trim tape as recommended by a local company that installs similar products, but now luck.

Anyone have this problem, & what type of "glue" for lack of better words did you use to keep the caps tight on the rail ?

Thanks,

Mike.

I had the same problem Forrest. One of them actually blew off during a windstorm, and the truck was parked! I finally "glued" them down with a couple of sheet-metal screws (horizontally, just below the lip). Three per side. Five years later, they haven't budged a bit.

Have you taken a look underneath there? Is your truck all scratched up? I noticed my truck is trashed under my drop in bed liner but I know that's not the exact same thing. I am going to take Forrests advice and get a spray in. Sounds like Line-X is the way to go.

if anyone within a few hours of you does Permatech coating, I would choose that over LineX... LineX would be my 2nd choice... can't really comment on any other brands except rhino, and I wouldn't recomend that to ANYONE :(
