Sitting here waiting on my Pullrite hitch to arrive. I measured the top of the bed rail from the ground, looks like 54",any problems with that Heath & 5th wheel hook up?I kinda did a search,as I think that this is prob ally a old subject. Is it effected by just certain 5'ers?I have a 2003 3500 slt,2wd,srw,ls,ho,6spd,lb,qc. ,sorry if this is old stuff. I'm sitting here thinking up future problems, idle hands ,etc. Pat

I have the 2wd dually and Pullrite hitch. I just hooked it up at the storage barn and it was level. Lots of clearance too. Go figure. I thought the back of the truck would be too high. You should be just fine.

I guess I don't fully understand your question but if the bed rails are too high you just lift the camper more for clearance when backing under.

The distance between the camper and bed rails should be a minimum of 6 inches when all the weight is on the 5th wheel hitch.

I don't think you will have any problem with a 2WD. The 4WD's are another story. I had mine lowered under warranty the dealer using a Dodge TSB.

My trailer, when hooked to the truck has 6 inches clearance, and it tows about 2 inches off level... higher in front, so you should fine, especially with 2 whl drive

On my old fiver had 6 inches of clearance from the bed rails and I got a crimp from the fiver at one of the race tracks. Now with the new one I set the Mor/Ryde at the center adjustment and the pin box down one for 8 inches of room. I may be a little high for some but I won't hit the bed again. And If I get a new truck I'll just adjust it back.
