Looking for a shell for my truck, and having a hard time finding one for a Dodge. I see a lot of "standard full size shortbed" shells for sale, are bed sizes pretty standard or are they make specific?

I think thats about the worste one to be compatible with. The 2nd gen beds are narrower at the back. Hopefully someone with the 2nd gen topper can chime in and give a detailed opinion... .

thanks. looks like my priorities have changed, as i'm now looking for a trailer again :) I have to buy whatever I'm interested in when I have the money, else it gets spent on something else that catches my eye. Still interested in knowing though, as any good deal that pops up will interest me in a shell again.

yup, that's the one i want... you should uh... give it to me, just for bein' a "pal" :)

i need a trailer, not a shell, i need a trailer, not a shell... just have to keep reminding myself, that and the rental bill. Been towing a lot lately, I figure I can just charge the people I tow for a small rental fee and have it paid off in no time :) Now if only I could find a place to rent a 30' from, I could get my diesel paid for on the way out there wheelin' trips!

What make canopy is that? One of those would be nice on my longbed if I could get one. Could you tell me how much room there is from the top seal to the bedd of the truck. Thanks Russ

It's a Tradesman, made in Woodland Ca. They make them for LB trucks. They are made to order, mine took 8 days.

I take it you mean the door opening. It's 49"X38" (W X H). I have shelves on both side openings. I paid 1500 for it 3 years ago. Mike
