As I was unloading my motorcycle from the truck, I jiggled a little to the side and the whole bed started moving in unison. Almost made me sea sick :), but, it does have me wondering 'what gives'. Is this normal for side to side swaying?

No it is not.

Check bed to frame bolts to see if they are tight.

Check bed mounts to see they are not broken. I have seen this if the truck hauls a lot of heavy loads or is on rough roads empty alot.

The previous owner of my truck must have had a cap that had a lot of weight. The spot welds that hold the floor to the support channels are pulled a part just along the sides. There are even tears just behind the fender humps about 2" long. So my bed wobbles but it hasn't fallen down. I haven't gotten seasick from it yet so until I find a reasonable fix this is how it will stay.

I went out last night to check the bed bolts and they are good-n-tight. Its the whole truck that will move left to right, back-n-forth as I push on the rear corner of the truck bed. I jumped up-n-down on the back bumper and that motion is rock solid. Now what?
