Beginning BOMBING

I just got my 01 ETC a few months ago and am looking to begin the BOMBING. Please advise me which way to go





1. Air filter - K&N or AFE?



2. DDTM or EZ? DD said on the phone that PE makes the DDTM with different specs than the EZ. True or false or BS.



3. Would I gain anything from an exhaust with this setup. This is all I plan on doing mod wise. At least for now.

Search for, and follow, a thread by Ted Jannetty, titled Propr oder for upgrades. You will be glad you did!



1. A high flow air filter is a good idea. I personally use the K&N filter, a cone filter, #RE-0880. I also use the K&N prefilter over it, #25-0880.



2. DDTM is programmed to DD's specs specifically for his injectors. The answer to your question is True. If you plan on going to DD injectors someday, then you may want this one. What specs are different? We don't really know for sure.



3. I really doubt that you would see a gain with this setup from increasing your exhaust to 4", however, if you continue to BOMB, I certainly would consider it. Again, read and follow Ted's post.



You will never be done with mods... this is a disease.

The sky's the limit with these engines, just need to take care of the weak links (air intake, exhaust, transmission) and be able to monitor EGT's, if you're gonna go over what an Edge EZ would add. Lots and lots of info. on BOMBing here. I'd recommend reading (for days ) and see if you can get to a local TDR chapter meeting and check out some trucks that have alread been BOMBed to get a feel for different products and power levels. All i did to mine was a 4" JRE exhaust, K&N RE-0880 filter with the Psychotty and an EZ. I am more then happy with the power.

Your happy with your power? How? I think Rob's got it right. Man I guess you haven't been biten by the BOMB bug yet huh? I keep running, but the bug runs faster then me man. I'm getting a big pay check here next week, and am thinking injectors, or EZ.

oh ranger , as far as your question , get a better air filter , either one of the big ones or a repalcement for the stock air box , ditch the resonator and muffler for a free flowing 3 " muffler only , go with the ez or DDTM , they are different , but do yourself a big favor and BOMB the trans , it will make the truck so much better to drive that the HP bug may not bite as hard ... ya like i believe that for a minute ...

Yes the extra power has been very fun thus far. I love it when people pull up next to you at the light and know that there lane end a few hundered feet away, and they figure they take that diesel off the line for the lane... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... Wrong! you should see the looks I get its priceless, acuras, lincolns, you name it, they get pissed! I love it'!

Just installed dd ttpm and increased miles of smiles. Only 5 miles but all were smiles.
