Hi there,
About 500 miles back i got new tires - Cooper Discoverer HTs. Size 265/75R16. I think stock, the truck had 245s... but I've never had those on the truck... Previous to this set, I had BF Goodrich All Terrain TAs. They were good, kinda loud, and too aggressive for my driving.
So, my question is, with the new HTs, I am getting a lot of "sway" while travelling at speeds 70+mph. Is this normal? While spinning down the highway, sometimes the truck seems to drift a lot more than it did with the BF Goodrich's. I had thought the opposite would be true with the new tires.
During my last trip (400mi), I was running 80psi in the rears, and 75 in the fronts. I've since changed to 75psi in the rears and 70 in the fronts. Indoor panel of the truck says 80/65 (rear / front), but the HTs call for 80psi. Which is correct? I used to run 65psi in the goodrich's, but that's what the sidewall called for...
Also, one last thing to consider in my riding performance, the HTs are load range E, BF's were D. So, again, is my performance "normal"? Thanks. Sorry for the long ramble...
