I have a few pictures of my truck with the dash out and some of the dash. What are you looking for?

Thinking of frenching my Connex 3300HP CB into that portion of the dash. Need to know what's behind that section to see if its possible. Exactly what all has to be removed to get that section under the stereo out?

That section is part of the main dash plastic. You can't take it out as a separate thing. It's pretty cramped behind there with the heater and heater ducting. I took my dash out when I was fixing up the wireing mess I had made with several mods. It was getting to be a rat's nest. While I had it out I took some pictures of the interior and of the dash. If you want a couple of pictures e-mail me at -- email address removed -- and I will send them to you.

I have seen a CB mounted in place of the cupholders and in place of the ashtray. I do not know how much it was to stuff in there but it did look nice.

The ashtray is WAY too small for my radio. Here's a picture of my boy Chris's Connex 3300HP (same as mind) mounted into his dash, but I don't want to cut the dash up there. Besides I have a switch panel there currently.

I don't think a radio like that will fit in the center section of the dash. You might make a plastic box for it so that it mounts with the face up on the center section. I use ABS plastic for things like that. Pipe glue works with it. I have a gauge panel I made from ABS plastic mounted in that area. You can see the brackets for the gauge panel in the pictures I sent. Those brackets are inside the gauge panel when it is mounted so they dont show. The cable for the gauge panel is threaded through a hole in the dash plastic.
