Is there a difference between a getrig bellhousing and a nv4500 bellhousing?

Can I use a bellhousing from a getrig to work with a nv4500?

Hey rbertalan!:)

A different bellhousing is required to maintain the proper transmission location & length. Part of the concern is crossmember attachment & driveshaft length.

Check out Quad 4x4's website dan@quad4x4.com

I've posted this information a few times lately... . I don't have any person affiliation with Quad 4x4 in Roberts MT. It's just that Dan Guarino is one of the most talented & conscientious guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting & spending time with. He totally rearranged his schedule last summer when my original Getrag gave up while out west on vacation. I knew exactly who to call because of the TDR & all of my expectations were totally exceeded by Dan & his business. Without his consideration & generosity I would have been stuck a long ways from home.

Just my experience... .

I am going thru the exact same problem. I am installing a 91 motor and 94 NV4500 into a 78 W300. The problem I have is, the clutch release forks hits the back of the 94 bellhousing. I have heard rumour that I may need a different engine adpater. Having talked to a few people the have installed the quad 4x4 and advanced adapter bell, I decided tp try the other route, costs alot less. Anyone know if the engine adapters are different between early motors and late motors?
