Sherman your right it doesn't say much about my friend at all, he is not that sharp. I tried to talk him out of it, but he knows all so I figured I'll just sit back now and watch what happens and say see, you should have gotten the Dodge. I was just annoyed about what the salesmen said and how my friend had to bring it up again the other night. Now I will show him this post and maybe he will realize he fell for some good old BS.

See if your buddy has a living will cause he's obviously brain dead. If I'd been him and heard a line like that I'd have gone under your truck right then to see if your frame was full boxed and when I'd found it was I'd have boxed his salesman ears. But hey, ya did what you could... ... ... . "ya can lead a horse to water... ... ... "

Hey Guys in Jersey, I had to check out the F350 power stroke for myself up in suussex. Told the salesman, I had a deposit on a 3500 ctd down the road. He said "fine" lets take one of mine out for a ride". He never once had anything negative to say about dodge and focused on the positive things that the Ford had to offer. Belive it or not there are some features to the Ford that are very enticing. My truck is just a daily driver and I'm sure the Ford would have been fine, but you have to go Cummins if your going to go diesel. I have two friends that have the 6. 0 powerstroke engines and work them to death, they have had some problems, but still love them. Just my two cents... I guess we have decent dealers up here in the sticks.

fords new hydroformed frame for superduty

I was reading an article in Car and Driver ( I think that was the magazine) that said that the frame on the new superduties was going to by Hydroformed boxed on the front. It did not mention that the whole frame was going to be Hydraformed.

Yep---the salesmen can be very slimey---I ran into a friend I had not seen in a while the other day and he was bragging about his new ford w/6. 0 said he liked the looks better than the dodge but what really sold him on the truck has the CUMMINS 6. 0!!! I told him to check it out its a cornbinder not a cummins---he got all huffy and left then called me 2 days later to say I was right and appologize for being so angry at me over our conversation---turns out the salesman assured him that cummins designed and builds the 6. 0!!! Just another slimey salesman preying on the uninformed!!!

If you're willing to deal with salesmen, you BETTER know more about the product you're looking for than they do.

If you've known about the TDR and the deals out there by folks like Butch @ Dishman Dodge or Tommygun in the mid-west and not used these resources..... well..... ya might just end up with a Ferd or Chebby... .
