Gents, bought the Beretta PX4 Storm last week in 40S&W. After looking at several brands I came upon it. It feels very natural in my hand. Very well balanced and crafted. Plan on shooting it this coming weekend. I'll give an update when possible, Ron
That is a very nice setup. I'll bet that CX4 is a sweet shooter. The PX4 is one of a few semi-autos that I picked up in about ten years. I was looking at several brands and they all felt large and cumbersome, but when that PX4 met my hand that's all she wrote.
As far as a lightweight carbine is concerned the cx storm that I have has been the most fun and reliable 9mm plinker I have yet to come across. When you can put 5 rounds through the same hole as the first @ 50 Feet without really being mentally fixated on the target things are good. I think I can say that it comes from its dead linear "push" rather than a flip that a couple "Short" 16" carbine rifles exhibit. (Hipoint comes to mind here). Beretta had me when I shot my 92FS the first time. The 92 has been the staple service weapon for many a MP and I can clearly see why. Steadfast and dead on reliable. Easy strip, can find parts like it was a mid 80's mustang ... . everywhere.
Finally had time to shoot. Very nice and comfortable. I have not shot any handgun in years and let me tell you it's a good thing I have a good self defense shotgun. I was all over the paper with all handguns do to shake. I think there will be some extensive tome at the range. I let you know after that if my control is any better, Ron
