Best 265/75R16's?

I'm looking to replace my tires and wondering what you guys have found to be the best E rated 265/75R16's. I am not looking for mudslingers just a good long lasting all season or highway tire. I spend 95% of my time on dry asphalt and 5% on dirt or bad weather roads.



I currently have Big O M/S tires and am sick of the noise and mushy(D rated) feeling. I got them for free so I guess I shouldn't complain...

Michelin M/S in that size would be a pretty god tire IMO. I like the ones I have.

Bought same tires yesterday

I just had a new set of 265/75 R-16 Michelin LTX M/S installed yesterday. I went with load range E for this set, where my last set was load range C (I believe). The C range tires gave me about 90K miles, still had a little tread and had worn flat and true. This is my third set of M/S tires and they have never given less than excellent performance.



Most of my miles are highway miles, but I have had great performance in the snow and ice here in NC with the M/S tires. They are not cheap, but I highly recommend them.

I run the BFG's in 265, but have not been impressed. Has anyone heard about the Nitto brand tires? They have a 305 in E that i would like to try.

My truck came with the 265/75 R-16 Michelin LTX M/S tires, and I am very pleased with them. I only have 20,000 mile on them, but I'm sure they will wear well. When I need to replace them, I will buy the same tires, and I will get them at Discount Tire.

I put 4 Firestone ______ A/t on last year. this is mt 4th set of tires and the best wearing riding set that has ever been on the truck. Sorry I can't remember entire name. 10 ply , load range E 75 #s air.

Michelin makes the highest quality tires you can buy. Per all of the survey information on tirerack.com the Michelin LTX MS has the best wear results and also has good traction ratings. I don't think you can go wrong, but they are also not the cheapest tires you can buy. But you get what you pay for.

Ditto on the Michelins. I just took mine off for the winter since they were the OEM's and had 82,250 miles on them. They still have some miles left on them, but just not enough for ice and snow. Best tires I've ever had for wear and I'm on my 5th Dodge w/ Cummins.

I put on Firestone Steeltex "E"s last time, wearing great, ride softer than the Goodyear Wranglers I had before. They were struggling with the "Wilderness" mess when I bought these, & were willing to make a deal, got them for $106. 00 ea. They had two tread patterns, I went with the less agressive one, since most of my driving is high speed highway miles. It geared my 3:54's up a little, I'm making a true 75 mph at 2,000 rpm. Truck came with 245's these are 265's

I HAVE 235/85R16 LOAD RANGE E MICHELINS ON BY DULLY AND IT HAS 87,000 MILES ON THEM AND I WILL MAKE ABOUT 9,000 MORE BEFORE I HAVE TO BUY SOME MORE BUT I WILL BUY THE SAME TIRE

My truck came with Michelin LTX M/S 275/75 R 16's E rated as original equipment. At first I was dissapointed in the tread pattern for an off-road tire. I started looking for replacement tires and found that the LTX M/S come HIGHLY recomended for a tire that see's a lot of highway miles and light off-road usage.

My opinion has changed to a very positive one about the Michelin's . They are a FINE set of tires in bad weather and they still look new with 25,000 miles on them.

I don't know if I will replace this set with another LTX M/S but what ever they are they will most definetly be " E " rated and made by Michelin !!!
