Well, have had my truck now for almost a month, and the brakes had about 10k on them when I got it. Now, after my 1400 mile road trip and driving 2. 5 hours in LA rush hour traffic (ala, 30 miles in that 2. 5 hours), my brakes are going nuts. I haven't as of yet actually visually inspected them, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be needing new ones. Three questions...
1. Which pads? In the past on other rigs, I've only used Raysbestos (sp?) cause that's what everyone says is the best... this hold true for our trucks?
2. Is this a "garage" type job? I'm at school, with access to only my standard tools (wrenches, sockets), and possibly a full Snap-On tool chest to work with (friends setup). I really don't want to pay somebody else to do something that I've done countless times before to Chubby's and Drof's, but never to a Dodge. It just as easy on them?
3. What should I look to pay for the pads? Don't want to get bent-over by Shuck's or somewhere like that.
Thanks, Josh.
