1tuffram, EVERY Griot's Garage product I have purchased (almost every one of their extensive line of detailing supplies) has worked extremely well. Richard Griot guarantees your complete satisfaction or he/they WILL refund your money. I even purchased their Porter Cable power buffing system... if you own a black Ram it will effortlessly remove EVERY swirl! Some products from Griot's Garage worth an extra special mention: Speed Shine, Paint Cleaning Clay, and Best Of Show Wax.

The high end Zymol waxes/polishes (above $50. ) are extremely high quality, arguably, better than anything else on the market. Many owners of priceless collector cars use the high end Zymol waxes to protect their investments.

Regardless of which brand wax/polish you prefer, I STRONGLY suggest you use the claying procedure before waxing - the amount of junk the clay picks out of your paint even AFTER a good wash is impressive! Most auto parts stores carry claying kits, complete with instructions for use - you WILL see a difference!

I agree 100%! In fact, not only will you see a difference, you will feel a difference. It will be the smoothest painted surface you have ever laid a hand on. #ad

I'm a new member that has been lurking around a while and thought I'd drop my penny in here,,I currently use UV2 made by Hollander,,The product is very durable and was tested under some harsh conditions by me,,I am an over the road driver for a major frieght company and also love to keep my frieght truck cleaned and shined too,,So all the claims the companies have about their products(waxes and polishes) I can check,,We have and use a varying amount of different drive thru truck washes on our companies terminals(different types of cleaners and soaps)so shines and durability can be checked,,Many have passed and many that you'd think should DID NOT(by this I mean after all the work was done a few washes and so was the shine and protection),,The reason I do it this way is ONLY THE BEST GOES ON MY BABY(as my wife walks by and slaps me now, always says my truck gets better treatment than her),,The list I've tested is long and lengthy on those I've used so email me with your questions about yours,,UV2 comes in 3 types for different surfaces . 4 micron,. 8 micron and 1. 2 micron,,I realize that I was a little windy here, but, caring for our rides is what it is all about(slapped again here),,Ya know this product can not be all bad as at Chryslers at Carlisle in 2000,my ride was voted best of show in the 98 stock class, and It was up on the hill with 17 Indy trucks and one other 4x4,,Hope I could help.

I do not have a web handy for them, but have the phone number on the bottle for you(Just got in from finishing a shine job on my ride),,# is 1-800-741-5000,,I get mine through a local jobber and will see if I can get a link for you,,I love the stuff, makes the Red on my truck hurt your eyes in the bright sun and is finish is durable. Let me know if you can not get any response and I'll see you get some to try if you want.

Man you guys are on the ball,,Jobber just left and I can't believe someone beat me to the punch(Must be gettin slow as time passes),,Ah well,as the man says They are very nice and put out a good product,,You just do not see it everywhere,,Oh well, back to the shop works a waiting, two more to do today. Eric. . I would say it depends on the finish of your truck. . The 1st thing you want to do is strip all the old wax off by using Dawn dish deterent. With a spray bottle and some dilluted Zaino car wash, its time to use the clay bar over the entire truck. Then wash the truck with the Zaino car wash and dont forget to dry with a 100% cotton towel. With the truck completely dry apply the Z1 Pre-cleaner with a Damp applicator pad. Now to your question... I would say it would depend on what color and what condition the paint is in. Me I bought both(Z2-Z5)My truck is black and was hammered with swirl marks from the lot monkey who didnt know how to pep a truck to save his @$$. The Z5 did an amazing job to take 99% of the swuirls out. I use the Z2 now since most of the swirls are history. To add that "extra deep" shine... purchase the gloss enhancer... its another great product. call sal if ya have anymore questions... JB

I spoke with Sal at Zaino Bros. and he said if the truck has bad swirl marks, use the 3M swirl mark remover first, after the Dawn bath (and Clay bar if you choose). Then after the application and removal of the 3M start with the Zaino products.

Through two years of no time punctuated by multiple weeks of ill health, I have allowed the metallic green clearcoat paint on my truck to appear to turn flat. That it sits outside in Arizona sun was no help. Now I have some time, maybe. Before I have at it with anything, I look for advice on how to attach the murk. Clay? Polishing compound? Give up?

Thxc.
