Best coolant

What is the best coolant to run in our trucks I'm getting my radiator cleaned and am going to mix distiled water but was wondering about the antifreeze

I use the stuff from Cummins/Fleetguard. It is blue in color and is called ES complete. Its premixed so no distilled water is needed. Makes it easy to do.

I saw one single bottle of pre-mixed stuff made by Shell under the famous Rotella trade-name... . it was @ Wal-Mart... . might be worth looking into... .

Is anybody using this NPG+ stuff it sounds pretty neat but anyone W/ first hand experiance.

A buddy of mine used it in his drag-race truck..... the night before the 'big day' a hose let loose somehow and leaked this Evans Goo all over the place..... try buying it at a convenience store at 3AM... that won't happen.



It's really good stuff, and lives up to its claims... . but it's too hard to get in an emergency situation.

The best would be free ________, but after that you want a low silicate (or no silicate) formula. There are some extended life coolants out there that meet the needs of the CTD, I put the Rotella ELC in mine just because I am lazy and do not want to change it again.

My preference is John Deere Cool Guard. I buy it at a JD dealer for $18 for 2. 5 gallons premixed.
