I see Dodge just upped their incentive to $2000 in Montana (among other states) which is the closest to my area I found the $2k cash back.

A couple dealerships I've found are in Ronan Mt (Ronan Auto Body and yes it's a dealership), Grizzly Auto Center in Missoula and Valley Dodge-Chrysler in Helena.

I am wondering if anyone is familiar with these dealerships and which ones are very competetive, ie, at or below invoice price.

My coworker is seriously considering trading off his '01 GMC 2500 6. 0L.

Thanks for your input,

Vaughn

Vaughn. My name is Greg Thiessen I will be very close to invoice on any truck in stock or order. As of today 2500/3500 have a $1500 rebate. There is also a commercail and a Farm Bureau rebate avaiable. I here in sunny central Oregon. You can call or e-maol me. 888-783-3031. or -- email address removed --:)

Vaughn,

I'm from Missoula. I don't know about sales from grizzly, but stay away from the dis-service side if at all possible

You might want to try Dave Smith in Kellog, ID. It's a bit closer to Pasco, and they have a nice, no-haggle price policy. Not sure of the rebates now, but I bought mine on the 13th of DE (yep, it was a Friday), DC had a $1500 rebate, and the dealer was matching it, for a total of $3k off. My HO QC-SLT went for right around $29,500 before I added accessories.

They are or at least were the worlds largest Dodge Ram dealer.

Vaughn,

Talk to Dee Motors in Anaconda - they have always treated me right both in sales and service. They also deal in bow ties but I don't hold that against 'em.

Willy, I don't work for Dave Smith, I just happen to live about 45 minutes away. The "showroom" isn't too impressive, lots of desks and sales people crammed in a not too big room. But boy are they busy! Not the typical showroom with 2-3 sales guys standing around waiting to pounce on each customer that walks near the door. Probably 20 or so sales people, on the phones when they aren't face to face with customers. One nice thing about the showroom-lots of great trophy mounts-some serious hunters amoung the owner's families I guess.

They have had some ads for CTD quad cab SLT's in the local paper for around $28,500 if I remember correctly. Probably not HO's though, it didn't say. If you want, I'll check on that ad and let you know.

Bri

I never bought a truck in MT but the service department in helena is the best i have ever seen and they seem to be pretty progressive as they had new modified trucks on the lot for sale.

Brian. . thanks. . just courious. .

also you live where my wife and I are looking for property and home right now...

how would you like to send me a couple news papers ... every once in a while. . be happy to reimburse you for the mail and paper. . [want the whole paper... see what's going on localy] . . ? if you would I'll e-mail you my address... NO PRESSURE . . so don't feel obligated

Thanks for you input everyone. He's not decided for sure what he wants to do yet and the incentives last until the end of the month, but he's talked to Ronan and has a good impression so far.

If the $2000 rebate goes nationwide or comes to Washington State he's thinking Mid-Valley Chrysler in Grandview, only 40 minutes drive from here. Their tax rate is lower than here in Pasco. Buying out of state the taxes are charged according to where you live so it'll run about $100 more when paying the difference between his tradein than buying from the Grandview area. Mid-Valley comes close to invoice for Costco members.

Greg... .

well here it goes... .

Please read the rules governing what your are doing under advertising . . and trolling for sales. .

I have no problem with guys who post to inform others of their expierence [like Brian] but do have a problem with "DEALers" who serve no purpose to their posts than troll for business. . the only thing you have contributed to TDR is your posts of "offered business". . we are not your personal find of customers.

IMHO you are what we help each other [legit members] to be aware of.

Willy, I responeded on PM as well, but I'd be glad to provide info. My place is for sale right now as well, if you might be interested.

Brian

Willy I do not troll for customers thank you!!! I have over 2000 customers I have helped and become very good friends of in the 91/2 years I've been at this one dealership. I love the dodge product and very proud of it. Also put many miles behind the wheel of a big semi. So I'm not your so call typical salesman. I read every TDR issue font to back. I don't personally own a 3rd gen truck , but my parents have two 2nd gen trucks and I have done many mods on there truck because of the TDR. So if you don't like my post then keep it to your self. I feel I can help any member that ask, I'm like a person behind enemy lines and I am not the enemy. Sure everyone hates a salesman but I know people that would appreciate a very honest person and a non haggle price!! Have a great day GregOo.

I'm Very Sorry

This thread (and a couple of others) were just brought to my attention.

I respectfully request that ALL direct solicitation from any vendor on this thread stop immediately. Otherwise, I will have to edit/delete several posts. Gthiessen, I have to assume you are just not aware of this website guideline and now that you are that you will make every effort to comply. Thanks, in advance.

* * *

TDR Website Guidelines:

5. Vendor Participation: Vendor input and commentary is welcomed in our Discussion Forums, however, direct solicitation is not. Vendors have proven to provide insightful conversation and commentary. Demonstrate professionalism in all post to the TDR Discussion Forums. The following will be strictly enforced:

5. 1. The TDR Discussion Forums are not an appropriate forum for emotionally charged discussion between manufacturers, distributors, dealers, shops and/or users. These forums are intended to be technical resources for members interested in learning more about the proper care and maintenance of their trucks. All Vendors will refrain from making direct, emotionally charged, posts to and/or about competitors. All Vendor posts must be civil and technically oriented. If Vendors wish to compare products with competitors, use generic references (i. e. oiled element air filter; as opposed to Amsoil, AFE, etc. ).

5. 2. No direct solicitation pricing discussions are allowed on the TDR Discussion Forums. The discussion of prices is best left off-line in a private e-mail to those with interest as noted in the appropriate area of the Classified Advertisements. Why? Because many people who visit our Website do not want to pay to read solicitations and sales pitches in our technical Discussion Forums.

5. 3. Vendor participants must have their business name incorporated into their signature block. Vendors may include their business telephone number within their Profile so that it is available to other TDR website users.

Again, I apologize for not handling this sooner.
