Where did you guys get your best financing rates at? I just bought my new 04. 5 and got a great deal, but i guess the not so honest dealer had to get their kick back on the financing so they screwed me there. I have excellent credit and I have seen a few people on here putting out numbers like 3. 99 and 4. 59 for percentage rates. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Adam

EObermeyer, I saw they have good rates but was unsure of how repitable of a company they are like: (hidden costs and having to take credit cards to get those rates) do they seem to be good?

I haven't actually used the loan yet as my rig is still 14 days out. I have however received all the paperwork which includes a blank check that I can make out to my dealer. I received the offer thru lendingtree.com and Capital One made the best offer. I did find something today that might work even better for you. If you are a Costco member they have a loan program with Capital One Auto Finance with a rate of 3. 6% (37-60 months) or if you are an executive member 3. 5% (37-60 months). You can check this out at Costco.com.

I also went with Capitol One... . They used to be PeopleFirst.com. This is my second loan with them and I have been very impressed with the system. I got 4. 75% 72month. Direct withdrawl from my account. No hidden fees or charges. The blank check is nice because it's like walking in with cash!!!

Rates are very negotiable, just depends on motivation of dealership. Initial credit app a few weeks ago, best they could do was 4. 89% for 60 months. My credit score is mid 700's. Not satisfied, I applied for and was approved through Capital One Auto finance at 3. 85%. Ultimately ended up with 3. 39 for 60 months through a local bank after negotiating some more at the dealership. The dealership gets no "relationship management" when you walk in with the financing. Both Capital One and local bank have no penalty for early payment (when you pay extra goes to principal, not just delaying future payments where the interest you pay therefore stays the same).

Thanks for all the feed back I will look into the capital one and costco loans and yes BRayls I am enjoying the truck (except for the mileage) and the extra money went as a down payment, and thanks again for your help. adam
