Happy ending to a bad situation

Be very aware that this grill is not for a quick meal. The no-flare plate is between the burner and the meat, and the plate has to heat up before any heat is produced.

Hrmmm - sounds like Holland needs a bigger burner. Their burner is only rated for 13K BTU (!) (link).

Other than the long warm up, do you still like the grill?

For comparison: A Weber Genesis S-320 has 42K BTU (input) (link).

I've never used anything but the $300 Chinese made units, but sure do enjoy grilling out.

Beers and BBQ,

Matt

I bought a Grill from BBQ's Galore over 8 years ago. Most people look at it and think it is only a couple of years old. My wife and I use it all the time, but like anything else it has how you take care of it! I keep it covered and I clean it quite often to get the grease and crap out of it. We paid $450 for the grill 8 yeas ago and it was worth every penny!

So far so good, I have used it 5 times, works great, good even heat control, can get up 475 degrees during preheat also, good for searing meat.
