pangelechio: Haven't of the Commander. Tell us more.
Bill

Hey Bill,
its a Quadzilla, digital unit. The new one is the Scout2 but I prefer the commander. If you call Quadzilla directly they will sell them pretty cheap right now as they deplete stock but still full warranty.

Dont have a picture handy at the moment but it is a rectangle unit that can display 4 different readings at one time and there are 16 (?) different things that can be monitored. I just bought another one for my brother last month for $115 and it included the trans temp and pyro. They used to sell for $200 before the new model came out. I also put one in my dads 06, and in two of my friends 04's. only takes about 2 hours or so.

Its quadzillapower.com but they may not be listed. Call thier main number and ask for Jeremy. Tell him you heard from me they may have a few left and could you get a deal?

May not be on the website any longer since there is a replacement model.

pancelicho: Sorry about the slow response - been away for awhile. Looked at their sight and it looked like the only info would come through the plug in port. Haven't had a chance to call them yet.

I have the BD pillar mounted X-Monitor digitel gauges. I like it because I did not like the "In your face" 3 mounted gauges. I have had them on the truck since 2003 and have had no problems. Easy to read, has a memory of each function, which comes in handy at times. If I were going to buy a new one I would go with the BD X-2 gauge that can be removed from the pillar.

pangelechio: Thanks, I will give Jerry a call tomorrow. ACerf: I too have a BD Xmonitor on the pillar - really like it, except the light is getting a little dim during the day. I have ex-temp & boost. Now I would like to have Volt, Water temp, & oil press. The gauges on the dash are worthless. Thanks for the input guys.

I have not had a problem with the light so far. I have; Trans Temp, boost and EGT on mine. What type of problems have you had with the stock truck gauges? Mine seem to work very well and have not had any issues with them. I would take look at the Edge system, It does all of the thing you want and allot more, it even has a Nav option, and I it does some other crazy functions. Plus I like the fact that it can be removed and used remotely. I believe that there are other companies that have system similar to the Edge. To me the pod gauges just look tacky in this day and age of LED stuff. They are to close to your face, obstruct your view and it takes away the handle by the door, which my wife likes. The pods look good in Ford, because as ugly as they are anything would improve there looks! :-laf

I installed my three in the dash using the Autometer plate that goes into the cubby hole just above the cup holder thing. I really like them there. It's hard enough seeing out the window without more stuff in the way although shadrach's setup must really look awesome at night.

ACerf: The oil press gauge will not show a drop to "0" for at least 25 seconds (by design). No alarm either. Volt meter ???. Temp seems erratic in cool weather. Doesn't tell an exact temp. Don't want more on the pillar. Was looking at putting them over R view mirror. Don't think I want any digital gauges flashing every few seconds as they update. Just a quick glance will tell if something has "moved".

Yo Hoot: Can't use that hole - have a Laramie and they use that space for the STUPID 4x4 controls.
