Has anyone tried the Phillips Vision Plus bulbs. They claim to give you up to 50 exta feet of lighting with longer bulb life than the Silverstars

I have to say that the Summit kit and the stock bulbs on both my 96 and 01 made a huge difference. I know because someone actual "beamed" me when my fogs turned on the high beams the first time out (simple fix). And that was when the sun was just coming up so it wasn't even dark out but that poor guy sure noticed 'em (sorry guy  )

I have Piaa 9004/9007 xtreme whites in my 99 sport. never seen anything brighter,so I don't care how often they have to be replaced (I've had em about 3 months).

So, i need to get a set of 9004 and 9007 to do the lights on my 2001 sport? thanks

Side note, has anyone had a problem with their sport headlights "hazing over". The lenses on mine are now all cloudy and getting worse. Anybody have a recomendation for polishing the plastic lens?

I haven't heard of any sports getting hazed over. Mine are aftermarket so they may be different in design. What about getting a kit to remove the haze? I just got one for my wifes but haven't tried it out yet (I think it is made by loctight)

Well my other Silverstar Headlight (passenger side) burned out this weekend. Lasted a month or two longer than the first one (drivers side). 12-14 months does not cut it given the cost of them. Bought two Wagner Britelites. Will have to see how they work with the Summit Wiring Kit. So I now have two spares, One Silverstar and one standard 9004. BTW, I changed the passengers side in a minute or two. Drivers side is a different story. SNOKING

I just installed the same Piaa's, great light bulbs. When installing them I just put the drivers side bulbs in first and turned them on to compare. There was a HUGE difference in lighting compared to the stockers.

The bulbs do come with a 1 year warranty aswell

My silverstars are almost 2 years old. They are WAY better than the stock junk that was in them previously.

I believe in them, and think it's not marketing BS at all. :)

I have the summit harness upgrade. It made quite a noticeable difference. Then I put in 80/100 watt clear bulbs (9004) and now I can see the road even when it's wet!! Huge difference. I've driven through rain, wet mucky brown roads, heavy snowfall and blowing snow and I could actually see the road. VERY happy. I did notice that when it's snowing heavy, the 'white' bulbs that I had before tended to reflect off the snow more making it hard to see. With the clear bulbs the light is more yellow but it was actually easier to see in adverse conditions. All that and the bulbs were less than $11. 00 /PAIR!!! :) :)

I thought the higher wattage bulbs like that were an issue with the plastic housings? SNOKING

SNOKING- So far not a problem. I try to turn off the lights if sitting stationary for extended periods like longer than waiting for the street lights to change. I am keeping a close watch though. It's been several weeks so far and a few 6-9 hour night trips. No problems. Really like the improvement.
