Best Performance Programmer?

Any recommendations out there for a programmer that's is good for normal driving, towing, and improving fuel mileage?

My friend said he could not upload the super chips . it said the ecm needed to be updated, and after it was updated from the dealer it still would not upload, so as of right now he is patiently waiting until the smarty is available!

Why would anyone buy superchips for a diesel? They are fine for a gas rig but not diesels.
